- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Dr Calipo's staff... 'Mindy' called with lab results today, was condescending and downright rude when I had the nerve to ask questions outside of her canned recital of how I should address the health concerns of my lab results.She said my cholesterol was high and then launched into what I needed to eat, how much I should exercise, etc. I asked her what part of it was high? The triglicerides? The HDL? She repeated, a bit irritated, "Your cholesterol." and launched back into her canned response. So when there was a pause, I asked again, "Ok, but what specifically was high?" HUGE SIGH. Downright hateful this time, "YOUR CHOLESTEROL." I said, "alrighty then." and hung up. I went and looked up the results myself online and wished I'd let my phone go to voicemail. I've had difficulties for years getting meds renewed, things "disappearing" that were faxed from the pharmacy. All 3 pharmacies I've used have had this problem. The doctor's office blames the pharmacy, of course. Dr Calipo herself is ok. I do find it annoying that she will only address one issue per visit. For instance, if I'm having arthritis pain in multiple places, I have to, "choose the one body part that hurts worst and we'll address that." There is no treating the whole patient. Otherwise,. she is nice enough and usually listens if I have concerns.July 13, 2017by BeLinda Cordes
